Human Capital Management - Tax and Compliance Experience

With extensive experience at UKG in the Tax and Compliance department, I have developed specialized expertise in Canadian Payroll, U.S. Year-End Reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines. 

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Canadian Payroll, I provided critical support and guidance on payroll tax requirements and compliance, while also overseeing the end-to-end process for Canadian year-end reporting. I updated the TD1 forms and RL and T4 slips for year end production. 

I played a key role in ensuring that both U.S. year-end reporting and tax filings were accurate and completed within tight regulatory timelines. My work involved collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of payroll data, troubleshooting complex compliance issues, and implementing process improvements that reduced errors and increased efficiency. 

By maintaining a deep understanding of tax regulations, I consistently delivered accurate results and ensured compliance with both federal and provincial requirements, contributing to the overall success of the department and the satisfaction of clients. 

I held the Senior Product Manager title, but also acted as the Business Analyst and Product Owner on the scrum team. I was tasked with creating Epics that aligned with product roadmap, analyzing requirements, writing user stories, maintaining story backlog and working with scrum team on sprint planning to insure commitments and regulatory deadlines were met.
